NSA monitoring Domestic Communications — BEFORE Bush

Mark Levin at the Corner (a.k.a. “The Great One”, “F. Lee Levin”, etc.), posted a link to this transcript from 60 Minutes from the February 27, 2000 broadcast (which was before the Bush administration for you liberals). In it, a Clinton-era program called “Project ECHELON” describes an NSA computer system that captured every radio/broadcast/communications signal on earth. This was done well before the Bush administration, and even before 9/11.

This shows the continued media template, that as long as it is under a Democratic administration, there is no outrage. How much did you hear about this story back in 2000? Seemingly less than the non-story that the New York Times ran on Friday.

Don’t forget that “non-story” by the New York ‘Slimes’ (as our friend Mark Levin calls it) was more of a book preview by the author than anything…so much for the NYT’s journalistic integrity.
