The Speech

President Bush’s address to the nation last night was a brilliant summary to a series of five speeches given by the President over the past month. In the speech, the President fully outlined the cost of defeat, as well as the progress we are making towards victory. Bush framed the message perfectly by framing the choice that is before us, the American People:

Yet now there are only two options before our country — victory or defeat. And the need for victory is larger than any president or political party because the security of our people is in the balance.

The War in Iraq will go down in history as one of the greatest military operations in American History. Yes, mistakes were made, but overall the outcome has been good and continues to be good. President Bush has a lot to be proud of when it comes to the progress made in Iraq, and the Liberals have a lot to fear, because for the Liberals, Victory in Iraq means defeat for Liberals, and victory for liberals means defeat in Iraq.
