A Censure worth mentioning

A group called “Move America Forward” has launched a new campaign to lobby the Senate to censure former President Jimmy Carter. I personally think that this is a brilliant idea. If a censure motion can be brought against President Bush for trying to protect us by spying on terrorists, one can be made that President Carter has damaged our war on terror abroad by giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

At first I thought this was a joke, but the group has a website devoted to the cause.

This somehow reminds me of that Simpson’s episode where Springfield can’t afford the Abraham Lincoln statue so they have to settle for a statue of Jimmy Carter.

Carter’s ex-Presidency is becoming worse than his Presidency, albeit with tempered consequences. There are no dictators Carter won’t coddle. History will not be kind to this man.

Cronkite believes that Carter was our smartest president…what will he say next, Bill Clinton was our most honest president?

While I have no problem with cesuring this fool, history will censure him. When you look at Carter’s legacy, he has caused many problems that probably would not have occurred had he not been president. Advice to Jimmah: go back to building houses.

If I recall that episode, the plaque said “Malaise Forever” as the people of Springfield called him “history’s worst monster!”
