Polls to Watch

The latest round of Rasmussen polls have 37% of the American people now trusting the “Conservative” position on immigration. This number has a plurality; couple that with the notion that the people trust Republicans on this issue more than Democrats and we have movement!

Yet, will the Conservatives and Republicans realize this momentum and seize it from the Dems? I have been very disappointed with the President and the Republicans on this issue– as have many of my conservative friends. Hopefully, (though I truly dislike our politicians using polls to reinforce or create principles) the polls may this time be something that pushes our elected officials to stop thinking about politics 20 years from now and start thinking about the security and economic problems of today.
