The Democrat’s Undoing – The Kook Fringe

This is fun.  Yesterday, the Democrat’s attempted to unveil their lobbying reform measures to the press, and they were shouted down by Cindy Sheehan and a large group of anti-war protestors, who don’t want anything else done until funding for the Iraq war is cut off.  Rep. Rahm Emanuel , (D-IL) was forced to abandon the press conference because he wasn’t able to get a word in.  Says Sheehan (cue high-pitched rhythmic Cindy Sheehan Voice): “We wanted the Democrats to know they’re back in power because of the grass roots.”  Cindy Sheehan puts the Democrats in a bind.  Treated as infallible when the Republicans were in power, they’ve built her up to be an icon.  Now, they will be  forced to either ignore her, in which case she will become a thorn in their side, or they will have to capitulate to her, which will put them at odds with about 85% of the electorate.

The next two years are going to be fun.

Why is it that every time she opens her mouth it sounds like an adult on Chalrie Brown? Come to think of it, that’s the same sound I hear when I listen to Rahm Emmanuel speak… it must have been a very confused presser to a passer-by.
