Does This Ring a Bell Madam Secretary?

With Jimmy Carter by her side, Bill Clinton’s Secretary of State Madeleine Albright claimed that the Iraq war “is going to go down in history as the greatest disaster in American foreign policy.” This woman’s memory must be failing.

I find it hard to believe that Albright could have forgotten the Clinton administration’s agreement which provided North Korea with the fuel and reactors they used to construct their nuclear program. I also find it hard to believe that the sight of Jimmy Carter failed to trigger any memory of Carter’s decision to undermine the Shah of Iran, which paved the way for a hostage crisis and the rise of a radical theocracy hellbent on the destruction of Israel.

I wonder if any of the Democrats running for President have this woman on a short list for a Cabinet position?

What a nice picture. What you are observing in the picture is how a liberal looks when they FEEL they have accomplished something- despite not actually accomplishing nothing. For people like her it is more important to feel they did something, who cares what it takes to get there.

The problem, that of course Madame Albright can’t figure out, is that America has emerged (FOR THE LAST 16 YEARS!!!) as the world’s sole superpower. We have no state like the Soviet Union to make the bad guy. We can’t even make our media say that radical Islam evil, plus most countries around the world have not had a 9/11 and have been forced politically to respond any way necessary. Also, as the sole superpower we’re everybody’s jerk by default. It comes with the territory: The British Empire was the source of all evil, the Medieval Catholic Church pushed its political hegemony in Europe to the chagrin of many, the Roman Empire was a no-good bunch of old-school fascist bullies, etc. Now it’s America’s turn, but the last thing we need is to grovel in our own guilt as our Democrat friends love to do. Kick-ass, take names, and those people that hate us may be forced to at least respect us– which is the first step towards liking us.
