No, not Noonan who is a regular contributor to the comments section of this site, but former Reagan Speechwriter and now-columnist Peggy Noonan. Peggy Noonan has the uncanny ability to cut through the minutia of a tragedy and get to the heart of the matter. In her latest column, she asks “Where are all the grown-ups” in relation to the Virginia Tech shooting. She reflects how we as a culture have gotten so used to evil, and now tolerate it treat it with such a cavalier attitude and coarseness, putting mass-murder on-par with the words of Don Imus, a woman’s “right to choose” or Global Warming. Worth a read.
