VH1 ’80s Countdown Timesuck

I love them.  I hate them.

Despite the socio-political leanings of the music networks, I applaud VH1 for keeping pop culture over the last three decades alive for those who either don’t remember the formative years of Gen X or for those who just love to immerse themselves in the nostalgia.  I am mostly the latter (being a kid in elementary school during the mid-1980s).  “I Love the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s” are all great trips back into yesteryear (though the “I Love the ’90s” show was made a little too soon).

Anyway, I had a busy day and wanted to veg out in front of the TV for a while, before doing more odds and ends.  While I was flipping through the stations I noticed VH1 was having a marathon — an ’80s “The Greatest“ Pop Songs Countdown!

I couldn’t stop.

One hour became two, then three!  This timesuck was a vortex too tempting to resist.  I had things to do!
