Murtha Gets Sued

One of the Marines accused of murder of Iraq civilians in Haditha, Iraq, and has since been cleared, is now bringing suite against Rep. John Murtha (D-PA).  The Marine, former Lance Corporal Justin Sharratt, is bringing the suite for defamation of character.  Rep. Murtha had repeatedly accused the Marines involved in committing “Cold-Blooded killings”.

I am not one to normally propose lawsuits, but John Murtha has denigrated our men and women in uniform for the past five years, and deserves whatever he gets.  I hope Murtha gets what he deserves, and that future lawmakers will think twice before defaming the character of the men and women who put their lives on the line for our country.  Murtha was by far the most egregious, but there are others.  Sen. Dick “Pol-Pot” Durbin, Sen. Harry “The War is Lost” Reid, and others.  Let this be an example to them.
