Joe, I don’t disagree with you to a point. The Bush administration has advanced some socialist policies and increased government spending by magnitudes never before seen by a Republican administration. However, in the grand scheme of things, our taxes are lower, we have some good judges who actually look at the Constitution now on the Supreme Court, and much of the unchecked Marxist tendencies of the left have been curtailed by this administration. Obama’s philosophy of redistribution, as well as his belief that we need to “break free” from the constraints of the Constitution make him a dangerous man to be President. This is the most radical person ever to run for the office and have a shot at winning.

The principle is simple and true: more the government controls of our lives, the less freedom we have. Obama’s “redistribution” plan, then, would be completely consistent with a desire to mess with the Constitution for populist goals. None of this should be surprising, yet, think about how the Left was nuts of Bush’s non-existent trampling of the Constitution, but here’s their candidate ready to embrace just that notion — with a smile and a shallow and dangerously vague message.
