Preemptive Strike From MSDNC

I had a feeling this was coming if McCain gained momentum in the polls during the last few weeks of the election:  with McCain surging, MSDNC is invoking memories of 2000, when Gore got more popular votes but Bush won the election through the Electoral College.  It’s a preemptive strike to delegitimize a potential McCain Administration just in case it happens.

Their logic is that there’s NO way McCain could win the popular vote, but the 2000 approach of winning the states is McCain’s only path to victory.  I don’t totally disagree with that premise, but their tone is suspect.  Remember it was MSDNC which called Florida for Gore in 2000 before the polls actually closed on Election Night (the panhandle is in the Central Time Zone)!  I don’t think their shenanigans are over yet.
