When the Obama audio from 2001 was released yesterday, in which he argued that there was a need for “redistributive change” in America, and that we needed to “break free” from the negative constraints of the Constitution, the McCain team seized on it and is now making it an issue. It is a good issue for team McCain to have, as it uses Obama’s own words against him on the economic issues that are at the center of this election. Team Obama’s response? To blame the audio on “the all too common alliance of Fox News, the Drudge Report and John McCain.”
Megyn Kelly of Fox News interviewed Burton, and didn’t take too kindly to his remarks.
If the rest of the Drive-By Media responded to the sophistry of Team Obama the way Megyn did during this interview, Obama would be 10-15 points behind McCain. Instead, the Media is in the tank for Obama, and McCain hasn’t made a great case.
