We also have this thing called "democracy" in America. In it, the person or issue which receives more votes wins! This was clearly exercised in California on the gay marriage ban.In America, you don't have to like the outcomes of elections (God knows we don't when it comes to Obama), but we respect the process. We will work very hard to prevent Obama from turning us into a national socialist country and will make noise, and support candidates who agree with our point of view. They should try the same approach.I also agree with Sal. What's happening in California and around the nation is blatantly disrespecting the democratic process and terroristic. Protest. That's cool, but cut out the violence (a new "Pink Shirt" brigade to match Obama's up-and-coming Blue Shirts), and while they're at it, focus on the demographics who probably made the difference against your point of view. It's tough though, as Sal points out: protected groups can't go attacking other protected groups, they have to be a bully and scapegoat on those who are socially acceptable targets of bigotry. What I'm referring to is how some homosexuals have been victims of hate crimes, ultimately terrorism, and now some homosexuals are engaging in the same behaviors by which they were a victim. No one should be engaging in acts of terrorism, especially when a fair process (the election) took place. They obviously will not get their way because that would teach every american that if you resort to violence, the state will give you what you want. That's why we vote, "peaceful decision making".
