Obama-worshiper and MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews appears to be planning a run for the Senate, according to Five-Thirty-Eight. He appears poised to run in his home state of Pennsylvania in the 2010 election against RINO Arlen Specter. I know, I was surprised too to see Matthew’s running as a Democrat. He was always so fair and balanced that it was hard to see which side of the aisle he’d end up on.
On a more serious note, Matthews, a former staffer for Tip O’Neil, is looking to hire Obama campaign operatives for his campaign. In a world where Al Franken actually has a shot at the Senate, I will not even consider making a prediction on how he will do. However, history suggests that 2010 will be a good year for Republicans, and Specter is indeed popular in Pennsylvania, so who knows. All I know is that I hope to not to have to hear him bloviating on the floor of the Senate for six years or more; I stopped watching Wiffleball for a reason.
