I doubt it will destroy his admin, but it is interesting that both Obama and Axelrod have varying public comments on this. I say let’s look into this…Merry Fitzmas!

It didn’t take a year for Whitewater to become a household name back when BJ took over. Obama hasn’t even taken the oath and he’s already caught himself in a bind: he went on record today saying he had NO contact with Blagojevich about the issue of Obama’s Senate replacements, but David Axelrod himself said Obama DID talk to Gov. Blago about potential replacements not too long ago!

I see a new independent counsel by next year which will be really annoying to The One. I don’t think this goes away quickly. That depends on Blago: is Blago the type to take everyone down with him to plea-down a potential sentence if convicted? As Sal noted Blago and Obama are from the same Chicago machine. This will be a true test of the strength of that machine.

At least Obama didn’t wag his finger at us… yet.
