Vacation From Politics

I’ve been off from work since Christmas Eve, and while I had planned to do a significant amount of blogging this week, my heart just hasn’t been in it.  Politics has consumed so much of 2008 with the election, and I think that personally I have gone into politics overload.  So for the last week, I’ve focused mainly on faith in celebrating the feast of Christmas, family and friends.  Sure, I’ve kept up on the news here and there, but I have little desire to really dive deep into it right now.

I’ll be back blogging in full force on Jan. 5, and you may see a post or two from me before then, but until then, it’s worth stepping back and thinking of the things that are really important in life and not get all-consumed in the world of Politics.  Politics is important — that’s why we care about it.  But sometimes, it’s nice to have a break from it.

Merry Christmas (for we are still in the Christmas Season from the Christian point of view) and Happy New Year to everyone.
