That’s no typo! As perennial losers for nearly all of my life, any success that the Arizona Cardinals are a part of comes as a huge shock. Last night they were on the road in the Eastern Time Zone (they were 0-5 this season in the EST) to meet the 12-4 Carolina Panthers. No one gave them a chance.
And why should they? The Cards had a terrible December and managed to eek out a home win against a rookie QB last week and a rebuilding Atlanta Falcons team. Last night they were on the road, in the EST, against the experienced and recently hot QB Jake Delhomme and expert WR Steve Smith. Nonetheless, they pulled off the upset 33-13 in a complete trouncing of the Panthers. The Panthers turned the ball over 6 times and only held the ball 1/3 of the game. The Cards look very good right now.
I’m not rooting for the Cardinals by any stretch, but I also like surprises in the playoffs.

And now, I hope they do to the Eagles what they did to the Panthers.
