Obama Treasury Pick Is Tax Evader

It appears that Barack Obama’s Pick for Secretary of the Treasury, Timothy Geithner, failed to pay $42k in back taxes between 2001 and 2004.  Considering that one of the Secretary of the Treasury’s responsibilities is overseeing the IRS, does this spell trouble for Obama’s nominee?  How is one supposed to oversee the $350 billion dollars remaining in the bailout, the IRS, and the stimulus, when he can’t even manage his own taxes?

Funny how Geithner’s tax cheat status is an “oversight,” but “Joe The Plumber’s” much small tax issue and the Sarah Palin fake clothing scandal are considered treasonous.
