It turns out that Barack Obama’s supporters aren’t the only classless liberals crawling out from under their rocks today. With less than a full day under its belt, the new Administration is already using the official White House website to bash its predecessor.
Tradition holds that Presidents do not criticize each other and I expect President Bush to honor that tradition; he’s always been a class act. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t expect much from Barack Obama. After all, he sat in the pews of Trinity United for two decades, flipped off both of his major political rivals, compared Sarah Palin to a pig, and kept company with a domestic terrorist. That’s the type of behavior one would expect from a scumbag.
However, the past is the past. Regardless of how Obama acted during the campaign and of what the new Administration may or may or may not like about their predecessor, they are in office now. They should at least try to pretend to respect it.
