Not Another Gang of 14!

With the Republicans keeping a united front against the Stimulus Bill (a.k.a. Generational Theft Act of 2009, a.k.a. the Pork-ulus bill), it now goes to the squishy Republicans in the Senate.  Will the Republicans hold the line?  It appears most likely not.  Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) is putting together a “gang” of so-called moderates, much like the gang of 14 and the gang of 10 from the Judicial Nominee and Drilling for oil controversies that we have had in the past.  He wants to give a major boost to infrastructure projects as part of the bill.  It looks like some RINOs will be joining him.  Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) appear to be on board.

I’m sorry, but any Republican who signs on to this bill deserves the label of RINO and might as well be a Democrat.  How are we to again become the party of fiscal responsibility if we support this load of pork?  If we can’t hold the line here, what’s the point of being Republican?

It’s time start saying to the RINO ‘Moderates’ “This is a conservative party! If you don’t like it, get out!” Obama loves this Senate Division and he added fuel to the fire by nominating Janet Napolitano to DHS, taking her away from a Senate run in 2010 challenging McCain. This puts McCain in his ‘maverick’ position and allows him to be a thorn in the side of the Republicans and Conservatives. It’s time for these “Moderates” to be primaried in their respective elections…and that starts with John McCain. Let me be the first to say “JD Hayworth for Senate!” (in 2010)
