When one thinks of the next wave of GOP leaders, one immediately thinks of several Governors (Gov. Sarah Palin, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. Mark Stanford, and Gov Tim Pawlenty), a few Senators (Sen. Jim DeMint, Sen. Tom Coburn), and a few Congressman (Rep. Mike Pence, Rep. Eric Cantor).  One person not often mentioned except by a few astute individuals (thank you Mike) is Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).  Ryan is the protege of former Congressman and Vice-Presidential Candidate Jack Kemp, and equally as bold in his policy ideas.  He also has a commanding presence, displaying a fundamental understanding of the issues, and speaks in a manner that is easy to follow and doesn’t appear stilted.  Take, for example, his appearance on Hannity last night, regarding the stimulus package:

I look forward to seeing more of Paul Ryan in the future.  He is one of a new and exciting group of future GOP leaders who deserves notice.
