Danica McKellar will always be “Winnie Cooper” from the Wonder Years to me; there’s really no getting around that fact. She is about my age and was cute as hell on that show – the crush was immediate and total. I wanted to be Kevin Arnold both here and here and, well, here too. Not all the time, just with Winnie. What boy of my age back in 1988 didn’t? (A retro-thought: Winnie Cooper or Becky Slater. Discuss.)
Then suddenly, the Wonder Years was over and McKellar seemed to disappear. Yeah, she was in this show and that film, but the recent release of her books Math Doesn’t Suck and Kiss My Math reintroduced us to our childhood crush and we found out that not only is Danica very intelligent, bright, and personable, she’s smokin’ hot too! I saw that interview as it happened and had no idea what she was talking about! All I knew was that Winnie Cooper was on the screen. She discussed math huh? If you say so.
