Cheney Strikes Back!

On CNN’s “State of the Union” show this morning, former Veep Dick Cheney had a few things to say about the Obama Nation:

  • Obama is trying to use the economic crisis to justify the largest expansion of government control in the Republic’s history.
  • That focusing on government control of health care as that which will fix our situation is a bit ridiculous.
  • Cheney calls out Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for their obstruction of reforming Freddie and Fannie which started this credit mess we’re in.
  • Cheney also says that Bush did not create this global crisis, and that Cheney recognizes that Obama’s got a tough job ahead of him nonetheless, however he says:

“So I think the notion that you can just sort of throw it off on the prior administration – that’s interesting rhetoric, but I don’t think anybody really cares a lot about that. What they care about is what’s going to work, and how we’re going to get out of these difficulties.”

Nice to see another Conservative come to the aid of the Republican Party. Yet, it’d also be nice to see some Republicans try that from time to time too.
