North Korea Gambles with Missiles Again

Last night, at about 10:30pm EDT, the wacko regime of pedophile Kim Jung (mentally) Il defied international warnings and launched a “rocket” over Japan anyway.  It was supposed to bring a satellite into orbit – North Korea say it did, NORAD said it didn’t… I think I’ll believe NORAD on that one.  It’s obvious real purpose was to test North Korea’s long-range missile capabilities.

In a brazen act of international gumption, the world community… wait for it… complained.  Even our brave new Emperor made some token tough talk in Prague this morning from his trusty Obamaprompter:  Sanctions!  Isolation!  Token wrist slapping gestures!  Rhetoric about how nukes are bad – really really bad!  Provocation, provocation!

The problem with all this fist-pumping is that North Korea knows it’s a joke.  They are already isolated, dirt poor outside the apparatchik class, with millions of starving people under a half-baked regime doing a poorly-run version of 1984 — in other words, the only thing they have to lose by launching a missile is, well, nothing!

They’ll go to the bargaining table, fleece us for a temporary peace, and do what they want to do anyway.  That’s been North Korea’s pattern since 1994 and I see no reason why they themselves would change course.  Rinse and Repeat.  Watch out Kim, the UN might pass a “resolution” saying “please stop or else we might be forced to pass a new resolution!”  President Newt wouldn’t have tolerated this — just sayin’.

Really now, we all know what would stop North Korea ASAP — China could turn off the oil spigots and Kim’s regime would collapse by May Day.  We don’t need Six Party Talks or toothless UN resolutions, we just need Obama to promise the Chinese that he’ll pass endless currency-crunching stimulus packages if China doesn’t step up!  That’ll really scare China into action!

North Korea is not taking a gamble at all , the world will complain, but do nothing. The UN will protest and do little. No one wants to step forward and take control and stop this fools. Reminds me of the 1930′s. People will sit by and watch event unfold, and when things finally get out of hand they will wonder why. This is the reality of the world we live in.
