Waxman vs. Gingrich on the Environment

This video excerpt truly indicates the difference between those in Washington who want to solve our problems with facts and those who want to maintain the political status quo by not wanting to listen to other viewpoints:

Waxman indicated that he believes we should all just not listen to dissent (which equal ”scare-tactics” to Waxman) or information contrary to his earlier-formed opinions – just get along, other viewpoints be damned!  Waxman comes off like a bully and a boob, hiding behind parliamentary procedure, but Newt holds his own, offers facts, and keeps his cool.

I think this is probably why there were nearly no real committee hearings on the Stimulus package — the Dems would be in a tough position if they actually had to face up to what they did under scrutiny from experts.

Waxman got his head buffed and was out bitched by Newt. His argument crumbled under the stats, and had to fold his hand. It’s funny how Liberals become so defensive when challenged.
