Michael Barone’s piece in the Washington Examiner yesterday describes a Congress in utter chaos. Barone sees a President who is big on talking points but inattentive to details of legislation and of the process necessary to achieve results in Congress. He sees Cap and Trade as well as Health Care proposals stalled in the halls of congress because there is not enough popular support. Finally, he sees an American public growing weary with Democrat policies in the worst economy in decades, a public who sees the economy as the number one issue, not health reform and not climate change. Barone’s analysis is spot-on, and describes what may be the spiraling downward trend of the Obama administration and Democrat Congress.
