Obamacare Down but Not Done

I was bothered beyond the normal bits of agita which this Administration tends to summon when word came yesterday that the Blue Dogs were in a meeting designed to compromise with Pelosi on Obamacare legislation. OK… Mylanta, Maalox or Tums…hmm…  Blue Dog or not, a Democrat is still a Democrat most of the time.

However, when the details came out, part of the compromise was that no vote take place before the August recessPhew!  Like Hillarycare, the longer Obamacare is in the public’s eye the less support it seems to have.  Though the Blue Dogs have shown that they can be strong-armed in the face of their principles, the temporary result is a good one – we have more time to make the case against Obamacare and these Blue Dogs, other Dems, and weak-kneed Republicans will have to face their constituent’s wrath all month.  It’s going to be a potentially glorious month for YouTube!

Even Gallup today is indicating that while still a decent 53%, Obama’s approval rating has been tanking since the Health Care initiative has been the dominant legislative story in Washington.  According to Scott Rasmussen, only 23% of Americans think that Obamacare will lower the cost of health care, and a full 50% of Americans believe that if passed, the bill would lower the quality of America’s health care!  There are abysmal numbers, but not unrepairable for our silver-tongued Leader.

During the recess distractions will pop-up drawing our attention and energy elsewhere.  Obamacare may be down, but Libs have wanted a single-payer socialized health care system since 1948, so they’ve shown themselves to have patience and embrace incrementalism.  Can we show that we have strength to match that patience?  We’ll see in September when the debate resumes in earnest.

I do not think it is done yet…in fact, I believe it could possibly pass before they break in August. They are determined….

I saw something on Fox this morning…..one Senator saying he would try to stop it from being voted on before the break…..I am telling you….it just might go through….any second now. I despise this president.

They (dems) certainly do not have the pulse of mi-America! They are trying to account for the demonstrations around the country by saying that they are sponsored by the RNC and large corporations. For the first time in 50 years I want to get out in the street and protest. It is either incompetence or downright fabrication on their part…this is a real reaction. We are damned mad and we are not going to take it any more (or something similar) should be our rallying cry.

I so understand….I want to go in the street myself and protest. I want my children to be FREE. You know…watch this video. It is only about a minute and half long.
