Democrats Admits That Public Option Will Lead to Single Payers

One of the talking points of the Democrats in the health care debate has been that the plan is not a single-payer socialized plan, only a “public option” to help the uninsured.  Yet in this video (H/T Moonbattery), Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) admits that a public option will lead to a single-payer health care plan, much as we Conservatives have been saying for some time.  So don’t take my word for it, take the word of a committed liberal Democrat and supporter of the plan.

Then, in a video of our dear leader from 2007, Obama discusses his goals for health care reform.  In it, he talks about how his ultimate objective is to do away with private insurance, although it may take several stages and 15-20 years to do so.

Does anyone really think that Obama has suddenly become more conservative and less interested in the complete government takeover of the health care system?  In the above video, Obama describes, in his own words, his ultimate goals and objectives.  The American people would do well to listen to Obama’s words from when he had nothing to lose.
