Much of Obama still remains a mystery to me. Yes, he is a far-left radical who is a thug from the Chicago Political Machine. Yes, he wants to remake America in his own image. Yes, he is an egotistical maniac who wants nothing but adoration from throngs of followers. Yet I keep vacillating back and forth on whether or not Obama is a shrewed politician bent on remaking America, whatever the political cost (including his re-election), a puppet of others, or simply a dumb idealist. Whatever the case may be, he and his machine are not happy with the protests that have been occurring regarding his health care bill. The Chicago Political Machine, led by David Axlerod and Rahm “f*%# you” Emmanuel, is now out in full-force, using intimidation and smear tactics in an attempt to take out the opposition.
Earlier this week, the White House put up a notice on its website to send any “lies and distortions” regarding Obama’s health care proposal to flag@whitehouse.gov.
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
The Conservative blogosphere, as usual, has been brilliant in its response to this tactic of Orwellian spying on citizens for exercising their right of free speech. Many have proposed various tactics, such as flooding the email above with links to State-run media articles about health care, as well as pages on the White House’s own site, and lefty blogs. Others are sending junk, or “turning themselves in.” Whatever the case, reports are that the email box is now returning “mailbox full” messages.
Besides the humor in all of this, it is actually quite troubling and a violation of the law:
5 U.S.C. § 552a, United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall, “maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.”
These intimidation tactics aside (which are being challenged by Sen. John Cornyn), the thugs in the Chicago Political Machine are attempting to smear the opponents of the plan. The left is accusing protesters at town hall events of being organized astroturfers (a claim sufficiently debunked by Mary Katharine Ham), that we are “too well dressed” to be real protesters, that we are an “unruly mob“, and that we all wear swastikas.
All of this really means that the Obama administration is in trouble in the health care debate. They are using thug tactics because they are losing the debate. In an effort to try to counter the uprising of Tea Party activists, Obama is now trying to summon his massive army of adoring fans into his intimidation and smearing the opposition tactics. The trouble for him is that Hope and Change is wearing thin, and his army isn’t so devoted as he would like to believe. The Chicago Political Machine is alive and well in Washington, DC. Yet it will be difficult for them to counter this growing movement of grassroots opposition to Dear Leader’s policies that is growing larger and stronger by the day.

Maybe he does realize it, but what Obama is doing by this is not only attacking those who are against him, but he is attacking the ideals upon which the United States was founded.
Family friends of mine who grew up in Castro’s Cuba remember how they had to be careful of what they said to whom as their family could end up in prison as a result of their words. We saw signs of this coming when they wanted to release the names and addresses of the “bonus CEOs” to itimidate them with the mob in order to give back the bonuses, but the government is taking a greater role now.
Very scary stuff and it shows Obama’s true thoughts and opinions of the Constitution and the First Amendment.

Hey Chris don’t be too hasty — I’d think this site being flagged for Our Dear Leader’s minions to read would be pretty funny… until the audits come! Better not then. I also heard a suggestion on the radio today that someone flag the actual House Bill!
Obama is a thug (as Dennis Miller called it: we’re living in a “Barackracy”) with a coercive totalitarian tinge at times. The history of the world is impending tyranny, but the history of America is expanding liberty. We don’t like thugs trying to shake us down or intimidate us by threatening to put us on an Enemies List. It’s unAmerican, unpatriotic and shows bad taste and character flaws. I don’t expect much different from a guy whose party nomination resembled something out of Nuremberg circa 1935. That’s when I fully understood that his version of “change” could be an ominous thing, as we’re seeing now.
Bush had fifty times the class as this guy when dealing with dissent.
Noticed the picture above of President Obama at some meeting/gathering……..an extremely large portrait of “fearless leader”…. Reminds me of the any decade when you saw footage of Chairman Mao or the USSR leaders…Stalin, etc. Sadam Hussein, Chavez of Venezuala, Castro, that little troll in North Korea. Huge picture that dwarfs all!!!! Damn scary!!!!! This person is NOT my President!!!!
