Teresa Heinz Kerry has announced that she is battling breast cancer. In going public with her disease, she is also encouraging younger women to ignore a recent federal panel’s recommendation and undergo mammograms anyway. It takes great courage to go public with something so personal in an attempt to help other people and that’s what Mrs. Kerry is doing. She and her family are in our prayers.
