A Reagan Rallying Cry

As the whole nation watches the special election in Massachusetts tomorrow, I think it is worth pointing out and reminding everyone what we are fighting for.  As a resident of the state of Massachusetts, I am looking forward to casting my vote for Scott Brown tomorrow.  And while this blog (along with probably every other blog in the conservative blogosphere) has been going on Scott Brown/Martha Coakley overload as of late, it is because Scott Brown represents a unique opportunity to check the growth of government.  Brown has the capability of killing the current incarnation of ObamaCare and sending it back to the drawing board, thus ending the single largest attempt at growing government in years.

When we come to elections such as this, it is important that we remember what it means to be Conservative.  Rather than trying to explain it myself, I’ll leave that to that great President Ronald Reagan, in this excerpt from his first inaugural address.

These words are as true today as they were in 1981.  Government is the problem that we are fighting.  It is the American People and their ingenuity that are the solution.  For residents of Massachusetts, remember that tomorrow.
