In the spirit of 24′s season 8 premiere (very solid opening, by the way), and before Scott Brown news dominates the political universe even further, I wanted to share a forward a friend sent me spoofing Obama’s handling of the Underwear Bomber.  Enjoy:

I must say, the opening of “24″ was AMAZING! As we had all said last year, “24″ provides us right-leaning thinkers with an alternative to what is currently going on in Washington and in the world (and what SHOULD be going on in both).

It’s also so nice to see Renee Walker back! Last season, I was a very big fan of her’s and I think the writers did an excellent job of not only writing her into the season, but also giving her character more depth and more demons (and she continues to look good as well…even better). Annie Wersching is also doing an excellent job portraying these conficts and demons. To me, she seems like Jack immediately after he was released from China. I really look forward to seeing how her character develops this season.

Renee was a hoot with the buzz-saw! My only issue with the first 1/6th of Season 8 is how Kim so easily let Jack join the fun with such little resistance. I suppose we’ve been there in the past. I do like the subplots and can’t really see where this is going (I made sure I ignored any spoiler moments). Lastly, I hope to hell the bad guys don’t kidnap his granddaughter — I’m done with the kidnapping-Jack’s-loved-ones-thing.

But, I do like this season. Changing the city from LA to DC was great last year, and moving things to NYC is great too.
