Patrick Kennedy Retiring

The era of Camelot will officially end on November 3, 2010, when Patrick Kennedy’s successor as Congressman from Rhode Island is elected.  Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) announced yesterday that he has decided to call it quits and retire.  It is unclear why he decided to.  Is it his low poll numbers, the fact that Massachusetts went Red in the recent Senate race, or is there some other skeleton that he doesn’t want coming out?  In any case, it marks an end of an era, and all I can say is good riddance.  Kennedy’s farewell video below:

I can’t help but wonder if a move to Massachusetts is in his future.
