HHS Backs Off Federally-Funded Abortions for Now

In lieu of the uproar last week about Obama Care’s mixed messages regarding federally funded elective abortions, the administration (or as Rush Limbaugh calls them, “the regime) has clarified that the executive order stands and that federal funds being used for Obama Care’s high-risk insurance pools will NOT cover elective abortions.

But, I don’t trust this administration.  I’m convinced that if there were no uproar last week the vague and inherently broad high-risk pool coverage would have included elective abortions despite the executive order — New Mexico already took it upon itself to pronounced elective abortions covered with no brouhaha from the HHS until HHS was called out on it regarding Pennsylvania’s case.
