Maybe the Brits are to Blame

After Gabrielle Giffords was shot, the left began to blame Sarah Palin for the shooting because she published a list of Democrats with targets on them.  Conservatives in the new media responded by pointing out that the targets depicted were actually political targets for the GOP to focus on the 2010 election, that Democrats also publish the same kind of lists during their own campaigns.

Well, I think I figured it out.  Sarah Palin isn’t to blame and neither are the Democrats.  This is clearly the Brits’ doing.  In the following BBC video, fast forward to the 6:25 mark.  You’ll notice the BBC depicting Conservative MPs as blue skyscrapers targeted and electronically bombed out of existence by Labour.  The presenters go on to tally the “hits” and “misses” while describing the scene as “devastation everywhere”

Concerned about violent target rhetoric?  Blame the Brits.

Then again, the “target” rhetoric could also be an innocuous metaphor commonly used by everyone during political season.
