Keith Olbermann — For Senate???!!

Keith Olbermann

Daily Kos contributors, unhappy with Olbermann’s unceremonious exit from MSNBC are now mounting a campaign to draft Kieth Olbermann (Nutjob-CT) for Senate.  Now, a part of me wants to go into Operation Chaos mode and wholeheartedly support Olbermann for Senate.  It will provide much comedic gold throughout the 2012 campaign season, and makes it possible that a Republican Challenger running against this nut case could actually win Connecticut.

The flip side, however, is that Olbermann could actually win.  Three years ago, I never would have said that, but with the Al Franken win in Minnesota, I now believe that any liberal, no matter how insane, can actually win a Senate seat thanks to the State-run media.  So an Olbermann candidacy could very well lead to a Senator Olbermann, especially in a state as blue as Connecticut.

Still, it would be fun to watch…

Let us not forget about Ned Lamont, as well as Richard “How to Create a Job” Blumenthal. It could happen…scary thought!
