Waste According to the GAO

The GAO (Government Accountability Office) just released a scathing report (pdf) about the ridiculous amounts of federal government waste, essentially throwing Dems under the bus if they decide to cling to the idea that little to nothing in the government can be cut.  Now I know it’s a shocker that the government would dare waste our money on duplicate programs, but nonetheless they are.  To put the scope of the waste plainly, Senator Tom Coburn essentially boiled it down to this:  Congress could conceivably “save taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year without cutting services.” What a trap for the Dems to fall into considering today’s political environment!
