Arrested for Singing Kung Fu Fighting?

For a country that gave the world a TV show like “The Inbetweeners,” there sure has been a lot of political correctness out of the UK lately.  Today’s example is the case of Simon Ledger.  Last weekend, he went out to a pub with some friends.  One thing led to another and before long, he was singing “Kung Fu Fighting” to the rest of the pub.  While he was singing however, some Chinese guy walked past the pub, heard Ledger singing, got his panties in a bunch, and called the police.  Ledger was later arrested (at a Chinese restaurant of all places) for “racially-aggravated harassment.”

Ledger was confused by the arrest:

“People of all races were loving it, Chinese people have never been offended before.”

Silly Mr. Ledger.  Political correctness isn’t about offending members of a protected class.  It’s about offending oversensitive pantywaists who can’t resist sticking their noses into other people’s business.  Let’s just hope you can get a jury of your peers.
