The Birth Certificate Cometh

I was shocked to see Obama’s long-form birth certificate, long awaited by the tin-hat conspiracy crowd.  Why?  Because I thought Obama would allow Trump and crew to keep making asses out of themselves for as long as possible!  Maybe this was just long enough — these things can backfire.

In 2008, this kind of thing seemed fair game, but I hate to break it to the “birther” crowd:  Obama’s already President.  One has to deal with that reality.  A “Hail Mary”-style decapitation strike seems as desperate as it sounds.

But now Trump’s out there asking for Obama’s college records!

Can I just say it?  Leave the man alone! There are a million real, substantive things to be tearing Obama to shreds over, but we’re stuck on this personal nonsense.  As a conservative, I’ve seen my candidates and compadres fall victim to character attacks similar to this.  It’s wrong when they do it, and vice versa.  Did it matter that Bush outscored Kerry at Yale, or that Kerry was a cut-and-run tax-and-spend Massachusetts liberal?  Right.

Well said.

If all these so-called contenders can only focus on birth certificates and college records, republicans are in the crap.

There’s more than enough policy for an intelligent opponent to wipe the floor with Obama!

@SpySmasher – I agree that we need to attack him at every turn – where he is wrong on policy. Anything else, including this overplayed birther issue, is nothing but a distraction.
