Memorial Day 2011

Amidst the beach, beer, and barbecue this weekend, we need to take a moment to honor those who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice so that our republic can enjoy the freedoms we have the way we do.

Currently we are involved in three major conflicts.  While there haven’t been any military deaths in our confused (and potentially illegal) Libyan intervention, to date in Iraq 4,454 soldiers have died and in Afghanistan 1,597 have lost their lives.

Today we honor them and all the fallen in America’s past wars and operations.
