Tim Tebow Booed at Yankee Stadium. So What?

Tim Tebow was booed at Yankee Stadium last night.  Predictably, some of my favorite Twitter people are reacting to the news as if the booing is further evidence of the decline of western civilization.  After all, Tebow stands up for what is right in the world and New York City is one of the most liberal parts of the country.

Not so fast.  The majority of Yankee fans are also Giants fans.  They didn’t boo Tebow because of what he stands for.  They booed him because he plays for the Jets.  Much ado about nothing.

Truth is I thought that was an awesome move by Tebow. If you’re going to be in playing in New York, you have to attend a Yankee game or two — it’s kinda just part of the deal. While I’ll be cursing his name twice next season, I thought last night’s appearance was cool.
