Hey Lena Dunham, If This Is Where Your Head Is At, Maybe It’s Better to Wait

Maybe it’s my love of cringe and shock comedy, but I’m not really as offended by the latest Obama for America ad as many conservatives in the blogosphere.  I suppose I should be a bit more troubled; after all, the fact that propaganda arm of the most powerful man in the world thought it would be a good idea to compare casting your first vote for Obama to your other first time can’t be a good sign in terms of the health of our culture.

Then again, if people continue to reject and ridicule the ad the way they are, maybe it’s a sign that our culture is healthier than we thought.  Or maybe the ad is just lame.  Maybe the better question is this:  is this the type of ad your campaign runs if it’s in the lead?  I don’t think so either.

So, I guess she’s right — vote for Obama and you’re f#%ked.
I’m glad that was finally made clear to young people in their 149th year of college-age time.
