I guess I’ll kick this off. Voted in RI this morning in my suburban, lean Dem precinct. Had to wait in line for a while. I’ve never had to wait in a line before. Good sign or bad? Well, it’s a light blue precinct in a dark blue state. Then again, our people usually vote in the morning. Who the heck knows?

At least everyone was polite.

I didn’t have to wait in line, but my precinct was busier than I have ever seen it. Usually when I arrive I am around voter # 70 or so. Today I was around #250. My district is fairly conservative for deep-blue Massachusetts, so hopefully that’s a good omen for Scott Brown’s reelection bid.

Interesting… 4:30 and no exit polls…

@Sal – Good. I have no problem looking at early returns but never exit polls. They’re usually unreliable, and even if they’re not, they’re spoilers.

I’m still out of school (until Thursday now due to a Nor’easter hitting us tomorrow) so I went to vote a little later than usual. It was about 10am and it was still very busy, mostly middle aged folks and an 18 year old who was casting her first ballot along side her dad. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. It was this busy at my polling place in 2004 and though NJ didn’t vote the right way, the right guys still won the day.

Lots of anecdotes today, but no results yet. First polls closing in 2 minutes.

Early exit poll internals slightly favorable to Obama, much like the WI recall was favorable for Barrett.

In the very few counties (small, red) with a majority reporting in Virginia, Romney is running closer to Bush 04 than McCain 08. (Like Augusta). Very few though so this tells us little.

UPDATE: However, in Rockingham, Romney running level with McCain. Like I said, early.

Bill Nelson holds FL Senate seat. That was pretty much expected. Would have been nice though.

No upset in Connecticut Senate race. Linda McMahon falls short.

Romney seems to be performing to targets in VA and FL.

Aaaand one of my states falls as PA goes to Obama.

Sal November 6, 2012 at 9:16 pm

Fox declares PA for Obama. That’s too bad. Was really hoping for that one.

@PatrickRuffini thinks the WI call may have been premature. He is seeing good swings for Romney.

@Sal – We need a minor miracle. If anyone other than Ruffini or Baron said it, I would have zero hope.

I’ve glanced county by county in Ohio. It seems that Romney is gaining on McCain, but not by enough.

Denver Post calling Colorado for Obama. Pretty much over now. Narrow path is eye of the needle stuff now.

Obama wins Ohio. It’s over. Well, I always wanted to go to Greece.

The country will survive. We still have the House. Supreme Court and ObamaCare are biggest worries.

Another 4 years of obummer.

Bummer as we say down here.

Hope we don’t suffer the same fate with Comrade Julia next year!
