Steven Crowder Gives Lesson on History of Israel

It can be difficult to ask people to learn the history of Arab-Israeli conflict before making comments on the situation.  With our corrupt liberal media the way it is, it’s hard enough to ask people to learn the brief history of whatever event happens to be the news of the day.  Thankfully, Steven Crowder has made a video in which he provides a broad overview of Israel’s troubled history with its Arab neighbors.  Obviously, there are many more details that are relevant, but Crowder’s overview is accurate, excellent, and at times, funny.

And our media thinks history is hard.

Love it!

With Hamas winning the media war on this, refreshing to see at least some one recognises a few salient facts.

Hamas started it – firing rockets
Israel took out a Hamas terrorist in retaliation.
The world told Israel to stop attacking Gaza ‘civilians’
Hamas launches an all out rocket attack on Israel
Israel Strikes back at Hamas
The world denounces Israel’s massacre of innocent Gaza civilians.

At the risk of being labelled a war criminal, I’d bulldoze that sorry cesspit, and try every Hamas leader for warcrimes. – In Israel, not the Hague, where they’d be treated as victims.

I’ll put another thought out there.

Hamas is launching hundreds of missiles, forcing Israel to deploy Iron Dome.

Hamas have since launched 2 Iranian missiles, 1 shot down by Iron Dome.

My question: Is Iran behind this latest flair up, getting their stooges in Hamas to force Israel to deploy Iron Dome, so that Iran can gain intelligence on it’s effectiveness, and possible ways to overwhelm it in the event Israel acts to stop Iran’s Nuclear ambitions.

I’ll mention a post from a couple of years back, when I suggested the US should have ignored Iraq (the 2nd time around) and kept it’s powder dry (and good will in some Arab states) ready to take on Iran. Iraq was one war too many. We’re seeing Iran going nuclear, using Hamas to attack Israel and control the media spin, plus prop up Assad in that bloody quagmire. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Iran’s bloody interference in the region.

Hi Oz:

I think there is more to this than meets the eye, too. Hamas has been shooting rockets into Israel and yes, the escalation of those attacks occurred recently. But I wonder if Israel isn’t using this as its own test run for the Iron Dome. Either way, something horrible is coming.

I remember your argument re: Iraq/Iran very well. Honestly, I thought it was one of the better arguments against the Iraq War. What I thought at the time, and still do, is that if Iraq would be just as aggressive as Iran is today. The latter’s aggression seems to be based on its messianic complex, but Saddam had this strange pan-Arabic vision for the region. That, coupled with his contacts with Al Qaeda* made him a threat that had to be dealt with. I think the world is safer without him. But I also think it was a close call.

*By contacts with Al Qaeda, I don’t mean that Bin Laden and Hussein sat in a conference room together to coordinate attacks. But that country did provide a safe harbor. The reporting on that issue was much more honest prior to 2001. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-n2sX2Z058

It’s sad that the legitimate arguments on both sides of that question were muddied by a media that insisted on framing every issue based on its liberal, anti-Bush lens. If we had addressed Iran first (which I know isn’t what you’re saying, but many others did), the left would have been screaming about “ignoring the real threat” from Iraq.

Hi Mike,

I’ve no doubt Israel are using this to fine tune Iron Dome. I just hope they are managing to hide enough of it’s capabilities so that Iran doesn’t get the full picture of what it can and can’t do.

Like you I think something horrible is coming. Hope certain people/countries show some spine.
