A Thirst for More Rubio

I made it through literally four minutes of President Obama’s State of the Union speech last night before my gag reflex kicked-in, prompting me to watch something else.  I did catch the news round-up of its contents this morning — more progressive liberal bull crap.  However, I was interested in seeing Marco Rubio give the Republican response afterwards, but after checking back an hour later only to see Obama still blabbing, I went to sleep.

This morning, when the MSM headlines focused some bottled water incident, I knew the speech must have been good — if they’re throwing Alinsky-style ridicule at a political rival, you know what he said must have made them uncomfortable!

Here’s Rubio’s Republican whole response:

If we’re obsessing over a water bottle (just past 11-minutes in), we’re not talking about his well-articulated rebuke of Obamaism and big government.  Rubio needs to give more of these high-profile speeches.  I thought it was well-written and generally well delivered sans the sip.  I was surprised that they don’t prerecord these — the Spanish version had been.

Smartly, Rubio laughed about it and appeared in the MSM this morning to do his best to keep the conversation about the issues, where it should be.
