I thought that today’s celestial action was going to take place 17,500 miles from Earth, not right smack into Russia!
In what scientists are calling a “cosmic coincidence,” a totally random meteor (not related to the asteroid flying by Earth from the south) struck Russia with enough power to produce a sonic boom which has injured nearly 1,000 people, some critically. What was left of the atmosphere-fried meteor mostly fell into a frozen lake.
