The Silly Nannies National Football League is apparently floating the idea of penalizing running backs for lowering their heads before contact with another player.  This would ostensibly end the running game in the NFL as lowering one’s head to prepare for a tackle is, um, instinct.  How about having the players sign a contract saying something like:

I understand that football is a contact sport and continued play will likely result in possible long-term injury.  Nonetheless, these millions of bucks are pretty cool and the fans are great so knowing the danger, I agree to keep playing.  Sign here: ______________________________.

Instead, welcome to the new NFL:
