Putin’s Victory Lap Goes Through Iran

The ever-funny poignantly honest Mark Steyn wrote a piece for NRO that says everything about the state of American “ineffectualism” which has led us to a point where:

A month ago, Assad was a reviled war criminal and Putin his arms dealer. Now, Putin is the honest broker and Obama’s partner for peace, and the war criminal is at the negotiating table with his chances of survival better than they’ve looked in a year.

We now find ourselves in a situation where the autocratic leader of basket case Russia, Vladimir Putin, has emerged as a reasonable international peace keeper on a victory lap throughout the region — after solving the Syria crisis, Putin may be on the verge of coming to a deal with Iran on its nuclear program too!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen American power and credibility become so enfeebled so quickly.

Don’t look at me, I voted for the other guy.
