Thirty-four year old discharged navy veteran Aaron Alexis used an official ID to walk into a DC-area naval yard and opened fire.  Details are still coming in, but as of now 12 people were killed by Alexis, who himself was killed in a subsequent firefight.

We do know that Alexis was an unstable man suffering from PTSD-related anger management issues and having a number of run-ins with the police.  However, we do not know his motive or if he working with anyone else.  Right now there are lots of rumors and analysis of his past.  Hopefully, we’ll have more answers as time goes on.

Unfortunately, some of those on the left couldn’t help themselves in politicizing this before anyone could make sense of what really happened.  Sadly, that’s who many of them are.

As of now, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims.
